Strawberry cobbler
Ingredients
- Strawberry pie filling 1 tin
- Lemon juice 1 tsp
- Strawberry essence ½ tsp
- Flour 1 cup
- Granulated sugar ¼ cup
- Baking powder 2 tsp
- Salt ¼ tsp
- Chilled butter 3 tbsp
- Chilled milk ½ cup
Method
- In a bowl mix together strawberry pie filling, lemon juice and strawberry essence, spoon into a 8 inch oven proof bowl, put in hot oven 200 degrees for 10 minutes till we prepare the topping.
Method for topping
- Put flour, sugar, baking powder and salt into a baking bowl, add in a butter mix till crumbly add milk all at once, mix to moisten drop by spoon full over hot strawberry mixture, bake on 220 degree C for 20 minutes until risen and light golden, serve with whipped cream or ice-cream.
