Strawberry cobbler


Ingredients
  • Strawberry pie filling 1 tin
  • Lemon juice 1 tsp
  • Strawberry essence ½ tsp
  • Flour 1 cup
  • Granulated sugar ¼ cup
  • Baking powder 2 tsp
  • Salt ¼ tsp
  • Chilled butter 3 tbsp
  • Chilled milk ½ cup
Method
  • In a bowl mix together strawberry pie filling, lemon juice and strawberry essence, spoon into a 8 inch oven proof bowl, put in hot oven 200 degrees for 10 minutes till we prepare the topping.
Method for topping
  • Put flour, sugar, baking powder and salt into a baking bowl, add in a butter mix till crumbly add milk all at once, mix to moisten drop by spoon full over hot strawberry mixture, bake on 220 degree C for 20 minutes until risen and light golden, serve with whipped cream or ice-cream.
