Chicken pie
Ingredients
- Boneless chicken ½ kg cut in cubes
- Onion ½ cup chopped
- Garlic paste 1 tsp
- Green chilies grinded 1 tbsp
- Vinegar 1 tbsp
- Tomato 1 chopped
- Sweet corn ½ cup
- Salt 1 tsp
- Mustard powder ½ tsp
- Black pepper ½ tsp
- Crushed red pepper ½ tsp
- Oil ¼ cup
Ingredient for white sauce
- Flour 3 tbsp
- Butter 2 tbsp
- Milk 1 cup
- Stock 1 cup
- Salt, black pepper and mustard ½ tsp each
Ingredients for garnishing
- Boiled eggs 2
- Potatoes 2 cut into round slices and fry light golden
- Spring onion finely chopped 2 tbsp
- Eggs 2 raw
- Bread crumbs 4 tbsp
Method
- Heat oil fry onion transparent; add boneless cubes of chicken, with Onion ½ cup chopped, Garlic paste 1 tsp, Green chilies grinded 1 tbsp, Vinegar 1 tbsp, Tomato 1 chopped, Salt 1 tsp, Mustard powder ½ tsp, Black pepper ½ tsp, Crushed red pepper ½ tsp, cook till water dries and chicken tender add sweet corn. In a serving dish spread chicken mixture, cover with white sauce, arrange top with fried potato slices, eggs slices, chopped green onion, top with beaten eggs and spread with 4 tbsp of bread crumbs dot with 2 tbsp oil, bake for 15 minutes till light golden.
