Cheesy Potato Bread


Ingredients for dough
  • 1 ½ cups plain flour
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp yeast
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • 4 tbsp dry milk
  • 4 tbsp oil
Ingredients for filling
  • 1 chopped raw potato
  • 2 boiled potatoes
  • 2 sliced spring onions
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese
  • 1 tsp garlic
  • 1 tsp red chili flakes
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • ½ tsp oregano
  • 2 tbsp butter
Method
  1. Mix 1 ½ cups plain flour with 1 tsp yeast, 4 tbsp dry milk, half beaten egg, 1 tsp sugar, ¼ tsp salt and 4 tbsp oil. Knead into fine and soft dough. Keep covered for an hour.Knead the dough again and roll into a 6 inches long and 4 inches thick roti.
  2. Mix 2 boiled potatoes with 2 chopped spring onions, ½ tsp black pepper, a pinch of salt, 2 tbsp butter, ½ cup cheese and 1 tsp red chili flakes. Mix until all ingredients are well combined.
  3. Place this mixture on roti and roll over. Brush ½ beaten egg on top of it.Place a chopped raw potato, ½ cup cheese, 1 tsp garlic and ½ tsp oregano on top of bread. Cover with a plastic bag and keep aside for half an hour.
  4. When dough has risen to double the size, bake in a pre heated oven at 180 c for half an hour. Delicious Potato Bread is ready to serve.
