Afghani Tikka pizza


Ingredients for pizza dough
  • ½ kg plain flour
  • 15 grams sugar
  • 20 grams yeast
  • 20 grams white butter
  • 20 grams salt
  • Water as required
Ingredients for chicken
  • 300 grams boneless chicken
  • 1 tbsp crushed black pepper
  • 1 tbsp ginger garlic paste
  • Salt to taste
  • 2 to 3 tbsp oil
  • 1 cup water
Ingredients for pizza sauce
  • 1 cup tomato paste
  • 1 tbsp garlic paste
  • 2 tbsp red chili flakes
  • ½ tsp oregano
  • ½ tsp thyme
  • 3 tbsp oil
  • Salt to taste
Ingredients for topping
  • 1 ½ packet mozzarella cheese
  • 1 medium onion
  • ½ tsp oregano
Method
  1. For pizza dough, mix ½ kg plain flour with 20 grams yeast, 20 grams white butter, 20 grams salt, 15 grams sugar and water to requirement. Knead into fine dough, cover with a plastic foil and keep aside.
  2. For chicken, add 300 grams chicken cubes, 1 tbsp ginger garlic paste, 2 to 3 tbsp oil, 1 tbsp crushed black pepper, salt to taste and 300 grams chicken cubes to a wok.
  3. Sauté until chicken turns golden brown. Add 1 cup water and allow cooking in a covered pan for 8 to 10 minutes. Then increase the flame and stir to evaporate excess water. Chicken for pizza is ready.
  4. For pizza sauce, sauté 1 tbsp garlic paste in 3 tbsp oil. Add ½ tsp oregano, ½ tsp thyme, 1 tbsp red chili flakes, salt to taste and tomato paste. 
  5. Also add ¼ cup water on low flame and allow cooking until the texture is dry. Pizza Sauce is ready.Now spread prepared dough on greased pizza pan and brush its corners with some oil.
  6. Spread pizza sauce evenly on the dough, then chicken cubes, chopped onion and 1 ½ packet grated mozzarella cheese.
  7. Sprinkle ½ tsp oregano and bake in a pre heated oven at 200 c for 12 to 15 minutes.
