Mince Chicken Steak with Mushroom Sauce


Ingredients for mince steaks
  • Chicken mince 400gms
  • Onion 3 tbsp finely chopped
  • Ginger garlic paste 1 tsp
  • Fresh bread 1 slice made into crumbs
  • Salt 1 tsp
  • Black pepper ½ tsp
  • Wooster sauce 1 tsp
  • Boiled vegetables to serve 1 cup
  • Boiled rice 1 cup
Ingredients for filling
  • Grated mozzarella cheese 4 tbsp heaped
  • Oregano ½ tsp
  • Coriander leaves 1 tbsp finely chopped
Ingredients for mushroom sauce
  • Butter 1 tbsp heaped
  • Flour 1 ½ tbsp heaped
  • Stock 1 cup
  • Salt ¼ tsp
  • Black pepper crushed ¼ tsp
  • Mushrooms finely chopped 4
  • Wooster sauce 1 tsp
  • Ketchup 2 tbsp
Method for steak
  1. In a bowl mix together chicken mince, finely chopped onion, ginger garlic paste, fresh bread crumbs, salt, pepper and Wooster sauce, mix well, combine together cheese, oregano, finely chopped coriander for filling, form 6 balls from the mince mixture, flattened each ball put a tablespoon of herb cheese inside, shape into a ball again, flatten to form 6 steak. Heat 2 tbsp oil in a grill pan add the mince steak, cook on low heat for 8 to 10 minutes, pressing the steak occasionally and turning once. Remove in a serving platter, pour hot mushroom sauce over them. Serve with boiled vegetables and rice cup.
Method for mushroom sauce
  1. Heat butter in a sauce pan, fry mushroom for 1 minute add in the flour, remove from heat add stock, tomato ketchup, salt, pepper and Wooster sauce, cook until salt thick.
