Chicken and Spinach Kofta


Ingredients
  • ½ kg boneless chicken
  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup fried onion
  • 1 tsp ginger garlic paste
  • ½ tsp hot spices powder
  • ½ tsp salt
Ingredients for gravy
  • 250 grams yogurt
  • 1 kg boiled spinach
  • 1 cup crushed onion
  • 1 cup oil
  • 10 green chilies
  • 1 tsp coriander powder
  • 1 tsp cumin seeds
  • 2 tsp red chili powder
  • ½ tsp turmeric powder
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 4 tbsp fenugreek
Method
  1. Finely crush ½ kg boneless chicken and 1 cup fried onion in a chopper. Add ½ tsp salt, ½ tsp ginger garlic paste, ½ tsp hot spices powder and a beaten egg to the chopped mixture. Mix together and form koftas.
  2. For Gravy, add a cup of oil in a pan and fry a chopped onion. Then add ½ tsp ginger garlic paste, 2 tsp red chili powder, ½ tsp turmeric powder, 1 tsp coriander powder, 1 tsp cumin seeds, ½ tsp salt, 4 tbsp fenugreek and 250 grams yogurt and stir well. 
  3. When oil forms a separate layer, add koftas and cook for 10 minutes. Now add 1 kg boiled spinach and cook on low flame for another half an hour.
  4. Then add 10 chopped green chilies and cover the pan with its lid. Let it cook on low flame for 10 minutes. Delicious Chicken and Spinach Kofta is ready to serve.
