White Sheet Cake
Ingredients
- 100 grams butter
- 4 eggs
- 1 cup plain flour
- 1 cup sugar
- ½ cup milk
- ½ cup sour cream
- 1 tsp baking powder
- ½ tsp almond essence
Ingredients for frosting
- 50 grams butter
- ½ cup milk
- ½ cup caster sugar
- ½ tsp vanilla essence
Method
- In a bowl, add 100 grams butter, 1 cup sugar, 4 beaten eggs, ½ tsp almond essence, ½ cup milk and ½ cup sour cream and beat well. Then add 1 tsp baking powder and 1 cup plain flour and mix. Pour the mixture on a greased oven proof tray and bake in a pre heated oven at 200 c for 20 minutes.
- For frosting, add ½ cup milk, 50 grams butter, ½ cup caster sugar and ½ tsp vanilla essence to a bowl and beat well. When cake sponge is cooler, pour the frosting on top and serve tempting White Sheet Cake.
