Peshawari Karahi Gosht


Ingredients
  • Mutton ½ kg
  • Onion finely sliced 1
  • Green chilies (cut in halves length wise) 4
  • Ghee ½ cup
  • Tomatoes coarsely chopped 250 gm
  • Dry fenugreek leaves 1 tsp
  • Roasted cumin crushed 1 tsp
  • Salt 1 tsp heaped
  • All spice ½ tsp
  • Black pepper ½ tsp
  • Chili powder 2 tsp leveled
  • Coriander leaves chopped 2 tbsp
  • Ginger garlic paste 3 tsp heaped
  • Yogurt 4 tbsp
Method
  1. Heat ½ cup ghee in a wok, add 1 sliced onion, fry for 5 minutes till soft, add ½ kg mutton with 3 tsp ginger garlic paste, cover and cook for 10 minutes, then add 1 cup water, again cover and simmer for 15 minutes on low flame till ghee comes on top, then add 250 gm chopped tomatoes, 1 tsp salt, 4 sliced green chilies, ½ tsp all spice and 2 tsp chili powder, cover and cook for another 10 minutes, add 4 tbsp yogurt, fry well, lastly add 1 tsp dry fenugreek leaves, 2 tbsp crushed coriander leaves,1 tsp roasted and crushed cumin seeds, lastly simmer for 10 minutes.
