Chicken Shashlik


Ingredients
  • ½ kg chicken boneless
  • 2 capsicum cut into cubes
  • 2 tomatoes cut into cubes
  • 2 onions cut into cubes
  • 6 shashlik sticks
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tbsp mustard paste
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice
  • 4 tbsp oil
Ingredients for sauce
  • 2 cups chicken stock
  • ½ cup tomato ketchup
  • 2 green chilies
  • 1 tsp red chili flakes
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1 tbsp sliced garlic
  • 1 tbsp corn flour
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 2 tbsp vinegar
  • 2 tbsp oil
Method
  1. In a bowl, add ½ kg chicken boneless, 2 capsicum cut into cubes, 2 tomatoes cut into cubes, 2 onions cut into cubes, 1 tsp garlic powder, 1 tbsp mustard paste, ½ tsp black pepper, ½ tsp salt and 2 tbsp lemon juice. 
  2. Mix together so that chicken is properly coated with other ingredients. Insert equal proportion of chicken and vegetables in shashlik sticks and grill on a grill pan. Grease with oil as required.
  3. In a cooking pot, add 2 tbsp oil and 2 cups chicken stock. Also add 1 tsp red chili flakes, 2 sliced green chilies, 2 tbsp vinegar, 1 tsp sugar and ½ cup tomato ketchup. 
  4. When all ingredients are well combined, add corn flour dissolved in some water and stir together. Turn off the flame and pour sauce over Chicken Shashlik and serve.
