Harlequin Strawberry Trifle


Ingredients for Trifle
  • Strawberry jelly 1 packet
  • Boiling water 1 cup
  • Fresh cream 1 cup
  • Strawberries sliced 2 cups
  • Milk 3 cups
  • Sugar ½ cup
  • Corn flour 4 tbsp
  • Marble cake as required
Method for Trifle
  1. Slice the marble cake, arrange the slices in the bottom and sides of a glass dish. Dissolve jelly in boiling water and leave to set. Spoon jelly over the cake and spread with 2 cups sliced strawberries. 
  2. Make custard with 3 cups milk, ½ cup sugar and 4 tbsp corn flour. Cool custard completely, spoon on top of the strawberries, chill until completely cold.
  3. Whip cream and decorate top with swirls of fresh cream and strawberry slices. Serve chilled.
