Bonde


Ingredients
  • White lentil 2 cups
  • Rice ½ cup
  • Ginger 1 inch piece
  • Green chilies 8
  • Coriander leaves chopped ½ bunches
  • Black pepper whole 8 to 10
  • Salt 1 tsp
Method
  1. Soak 2 cups white lentil and ½ cup rice together for 6 hours. Grind in chopper and keep in a warm place overnight. Grind together 8 green chilies, 1 inch piece of ginger, ½ bunch coriander leaves, 8 to 10 whole black pepper coarsely in chopper into thick paste.
  2. Add to the grinded lentil and rice mixture just before frying then deep fry bondes on low flame for 10 minutes till light golden and crisp. Serve with idle chatni.
