Puri
Ingredients
- 1 cup plain flour
- 2 cups self raising flour
- 1tsp sugar
- 2tbsp oil
- Oil for frying
- Salt to taste
Method
- In a bowl mix together 1 cup plain flour, 2 cups of self raising flour, salt and 2tbsp of oil. Gradually add water and knead till a smooth dough is formed. Cover and leave aside for the dough to rise.
- Divide the dough into portions and shape into small balls. Brush each ball of puri with oil.Heat oil in a wok and fry the puris, making sure while frying you press the puri with a steel spoon.
- This enables the puri to rise.Place the puri on an absorbent paper and serve.
