Mutton Fry
Ingredients
- ½ kg mutton
- 2 sliced onions
- 2 lemons
- 1 cup oil
- ½ cup yogurt
- 1 tsp crushed black pepper
- 1 tsp turmeric powder
- 1 tbsp red chili flakes
- 1 tbsp ginger paste
- 1 tbsp crushed garlic
- 2 tbsp soya sauce
- 2 tbsp white vinegar
- Green chilies, coriander as required
- Salt to taste
Method
- In a wok, heat 1 cup oil and sauté 2 finely sliced onions until golden brown. Spread fried onion on an absorbent sheet. Now add ½ kg mutton, 2 tbsp white vinegar, 1 tsp turmeric powder, 2 tbsp soya sauce and salt to taste to the cooking pot. Cook until the water dries up.
- When water is evaporated, add 1 tbsp ginger paste, 1 tbsp crushed garlic and ½ cup yogurt and sauté briefly. Then add 1 tsp crushed black pepper, 1 tbsp red chili flakes and juice of 2 lemons and allow cooking for 5 minutes. Garnish with green chilies and coriander and serve.
