Tawa Fried Mushka with Tamarind Sauce
Ingredients
- 1 kg Whole mushka fish
- Salt & pepper to taste
- 2 tbsp Garlic & ginger paste
- 1/4 cup Lemon juice
- 100 ml Oil
- 1 cup Tamarind pulp
- Salt & pepper to taste
- 1/2 tsp Red chili powder
- 1/2 tsp Red chili crushed
- 1/2 tsp Crushed Cumin & Coriander seeds
- 2 Green chili finely chopped
- 1 tsp Sugar
- 2 tbsp Oil
Directions
- Clean the mushka fish, remove the scales from the top, split the fish into two from the center, marinate the fish with ¼ cup lemon juice, 02 table spoon gingers & garlic paste, salt & pepper to taste & 02 table spoon oil. Leave it to marinate for 15 to 20 minutes.
- To make the tamarind sauce, take 01 cup tamarind pulp, ½ tea spoon red chili powder, ½ crushed red chili, ½ tea spoon crushed cumin & coriander seeds, 02 finely chopped green chilies, 01 tea spoon sugar, salt & pepper to taste & 02 table spoon oil. Mix well. Pour the sauce in a medium skillet, and cook on a medium flame till it begins to boil.
- Turn the flame off and leave it to cool. Now take a griddle or a frying pan, put on a medium flame. Heat 100ml of oil; put the marinated fish on the pan and fry till done.
- Now flip and cook the other side. Turn the flame off and place the fish on a platter, pour the tamarind sauce on the fried fish & serve.
