Spiced muffins


Ingredients
  • 2 Eggs
  • 1 cup Ground Sugar
  • ½ cup Porridge
  • 1/3 cup Butter or oil
  • 1 ¼ cup Yogurt
  • 1 1/2 cup White flour
  • ½ tsp Onion seeds
  • ½ tsp Salt
  • ¼ tsp Ground Nutmeg
  • ¼ tsp Cloves crushed
  • ¼ tsp Carom seeds
  • 1 1/2 tsp Baking powder
Method
  1. Preheat the oven at 180C and brush the muffin cups with oil .In a mixing bowl add 1 ½ cup white flour, 1 cup ground sugar, 1 1/2tsp baking powder,1/2tsp salt,1/4tsp ground nutmeg 1/4tsp crushed cloves 1/2tsp onion seeds,1/4tsp carom seeds and 1/2cup porridge. Mix all the contents of the bowl well.
  2. In a second bowl beta together 1 ¼ cup yogurt, 1/3 cup butter, and 2eggs.Fold this in to the white flour and blend. Pour the batter into the muffin moulds and bake for 18 minutes. Remove and allow cooling for 5 minutes before serving.
