Spiced muffins
Ingredients
- 2 Eggs
- 1 cup Ground Sugar
- ½ cup Porridge
- 1/3 cup Butter or oil
- 1 ¼ cup Yogurt
- 1 1/2 cup White flour
- ½ tsp Onion seeds
- ½ tsp Salt
- ¼ tsp Ground Nutmeg
- ¼ tsp Cloves crushed
- ¼ tsp Carom seeds
- 1 1/2 tsp Baking powder
Method
- Preheat the oven at 180C and brush the muffin cups with oil .In a mixing bowl add 1 ½ cup white flour, 1 cup ground sugar, 1 1/2tsp baking powder,1/2tsp salt,1/4tsp ground nutmeg 1/4tsp crushed cloves 1/2tsp onion seeds,1/4tsp carom seeds and 1/2cup porridge. Mix all the contents of the bowl well.
- In a second bowl beta together 1 ¼ cup yogurt, 1/3 cup butter, and 2eggs.Fold this in to the white flour and blend. Pour the batter into the muffin moulds and bake for 18 minutes. Remove and allow cooling for 5 minutes before serving.
