Peanut Butter Brownies


Ingredients for Brownie
  • 1/2 cup Flour
  • 1/4 tsp Salt
  • 1/2 cup Butter (unsalted)
  • 1 tsp Vanilla Essence
  • 1 cup Light Brown Sugar
  • 2 Eggs
  • 3 Ounces Semi Sweet Chocolate
Ingredients for Peanut Butter Topping
  • 1/2 cup Smooth Peanut Butter
  • 1/2 cup Butter
  • 1 Egg
  • 1/2 cup Brown Sugar
  • 1/4 cup Flour
Method
  1. Preheat oven to 350f. Grease an 8 inch sqare baking tray and dust with some flour,remove any excess flour.To make Brownie Batter , In a large bowl sift the flour and salt and set aside.
  2. In a medium saucepan over low heat combine the butter, chocolate and vanilla essence and stir until smooth.Remove from the heat and add the brown sugar stirring quickly untill well combined. Set aside and allow to cool for 2 to 3 mints.
  3. Transfer the chocolate mixture to a large bowl and add the eggs at a time stirring constantly to avoid cooking the eggs.Fold the dry ingredients and pour the batter into the prepared baking pan.
  4. To make the peanut butter topping,In a medium saucepan over low heat stir the peanut butter,butter and brown sugar until smooth. Remove from the heat and transfer to a mixing bowl.Allow to cool for 2 to 3 Mints and then add the egg, stirring quickly.Fold in the flour.
  5. Pour the peanut butter topping over the brownie batter using a butter knife.Cut a series of lines horizontally and vertically through the batter to form a criss cross pattern. Bake for 40 mints . Allow to cool completely before cutting into squares.
