Fried Fish with Tartar Sauce


Ingredients
  • 8 fish fillets
  • 2 eggs white
  • 1 packet of bread crumbs
  • ½ cup plain flour
  • ½ cup corn flour
  • 1 tsp white pepper powder
  • 3 tsp white vinegar
  • Oil for frying
  • Salt to taste
Ingredients for tartar sauce
  • ½ cup yogurt
  • ½ cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tsp crushed black pepper
  • 1 tbsp mustard paste
  • Parsley as required
  • Salt to taste
Method
  1. Add 2 tbsp white vinegar to unwashed fish fillets and keep aside for 5 to 10 minutes. In a tray, add ½ cup plain flour, 1 tsp white pepper powder and salt to taste and mix. 
  2. Apply the spices mix and white vinegar to the fish and rub all over it. Dip fish in beaten eggs, coat with bread crumbs and deep fry. Fried fish is ready to serve. 
  3. For tartar sauce, mix together ½ cup yogurt, ½ cup mayonnaise, 1 tbsp mustard paste, 1 tsp crushed black pepper and salt to taste and mix well. Sprinkle parsley and serve.
