Chicken Shawarma


Ingredients
  • 200 gm Chicken meat bone less breast
  • Salt & pepper as taste
  • 3 Garlic cloves
  • 1 cup Plain yoghurt
  • 1 Lemon
  • Lemon salt pinch
  • 1/4 cup Oil
  • 1/4 tsp Arabic spices
  • 1 tsp Tomato paste
  • 4 to 6 nos Pita bread/ hot dog rolls
  • 1 medium Onion
  • 1 medium Tomatoes
  • 1 medium Cucumber
  • 1/2 bunches Green coriander leaves
Ingredients for Tahina yoghurt sauce
  • 2 tbsp Tahina paste
  • 1 cup Plain yoghurt
  • Salt & pepper as taste
  • 2 Garlic cloves
Directions
  1. In a blender blend together  plain yoghurt,  tahina paste, garlic cloves and salt & pepper to taste. Blend to a fine texture and pour in a bowl.
  2. Take 200 gm boneless chicken breast piece and julienne cut..Blend together put 01 cup plain yoghurt, 03 nos garlic cloves, 01 no lemon slices, pinch of lemon salt, ¼ cup oil,1/4 tea spoon Arabic spices, 01 tea spoon tomato paste, salt & pepper to taste .Blend , till a get smooth texture is formed, pour t into a bowl.
  3. Now marinate the chicken for ½ an hour with the prepared marinade.If you have a shawarma grilling machine, then fill the iron skewer for grilling the shawrama & if not then sauté them the chicken on a frying pan.
  4. Now julienne cut the Onions, Cucumbers and Tomatoes ,for filling the shawarma.Take the pita bread or bread rolls, open it from between spread the Tahina yoghurt sauce on it, and put some sautéed chicken t & some salad on top, top with some extra tahina yoghurt sauce.
