Beef Mongolian
Ingredients
- 250 grams beef
- 1 carrot
- 1 onion
- 2 mushrooms
- 1 to 2 eggs
- 3 to 5 dried red chilies
- 3 to 5 baby corns
- 1 cup stock
- ¼ cup soya sauce
- ½ cup tomatoes
- ½ sliced spring onions
- 1 tsp brown sugar
- ½ tsp sliced garlic
- ½ tsp sliced ginger
- 2 tbsp oil
- Corn flour as required
- Salt, black pepper to taste
Method
- In a bowl, add 250 grams beef, salt n black pepper to taste and 1 tsp soya sauce and set aside to marinate. Slice 3 to 5 baby corns, 2 mushrooms, 1 carrot in dice shape and cubes of an onion. In a wok, add 2 tbsp oil and heat on high flame.
- Add ½ tsp chopped garlic and ½ tsp chopped ginger and stir briefly. Add marinated beef slices and stir till meat begins to change color.
- Now add remaining soya sauce, sliced baby corns and mushrooms, diced carrots, square onions, ½ cup chopped tomatoes and a sliced red chili. Stir for a couple of minutes and then add a cup of chicken stock.
- Let it cook until it reaches boiling point. When the mixture comes to a boil, add corn flour dissolved in water and mix till it is well combined with the sauce.
- Add a roughly beaten egg to the gravy and mix briefly. Take off the flame and serve with steamed rice or sauce of your choice.
