- 400 gm ripe firm mangoes
- 1 ¼ cup of sugar
- 1 tbsp grated ginger
- 1 stick of cinnamon
- 1/8 tsp powdered cloves
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- Zest of 1 lime
Directions
- Peel 400 grams ripe mangoes’ skin, discard the stone and use only the chopped or crushed pulp.Add mangoes’ pulp, 1 ¼ cup of sugar, 1 tbsp grated ginger, 1 stick of cinnamon, 1/8 tsp powdered cloves, 1 tbsp lemon juice and zest of 1 lime to a cooking pot.
- Cook at medium heat for about 35-45 minutes till the mixture thickens and stir occasionally.You will see it bubbling and thickening.
- Remember jam will thicken more once it cools down.Now spread the joy and enjoy the thick, chunky & spicy jam!
