Sahi Tukray

Ingredients
  • 6 slices Bread
  • 1-1/2 cup Sugar
  • 3 to 4 Green cardamom
  • 1 liter Milk
  • 1 pinch Saffron
  • 1 pinch Yellow color
  • Oil as required
  • 250 gm Khoya
  • 2 tsp Corn flour
Directions
  1. Take six to eight slices of bread and cut the corners and fry golden brown.Spread them in a dish (preferably long)
  2. In a frying pan put the milk, sugar, food color, saffron, crushed cardamom and corn flour (2 tbsp separately mixed in water or milk).Bring the mixture to boil.
  3. Pour the mixture over the bread slices.After the slices have absorbed some of the mixture, garnish with some khoya, almonds and pistachios (almonds and pistachios have to be boiled / peeled and cut properly)
  4. Refrigerate it.Tastes best when chilled.Can also be served with fresh cream.
