- 6 slices Bread
- 1-1/2 cup Sugar
- 3 to 4 Green cardamom
- 1 liter Milk
- 1 pinch Saffron
- 1 pinch Yellow color
- Oil as required
- 250 gm Khoya
- 2 tsp Corn flour
Directions
- Take six to eight slices of bread and cut the corners and fry golden brown.Spread them in a dish (preferably long)
- In a frying pan put the milk, sugar, food color, saffron, crushed cardamom and corn flour (2 tbsp separately mixed in water or milk).Bring the mixture to boil.
- Pour the mixture over the bread slices.After the slices have absorbed some of the mixture, garnish with some khoya, almonds and pistachios (almonds and pistachios have to be boiled / peeled and cut properly)
- Refrigerate it.Tastes best when chilled.Can also be served with fresh cream.
