- 50 gm Sugar
- 100 gm Honey
- 100 gm White flour
- 4 Egg
- 250 gm Butter
- 50 gm Almond
- 50 gm Walnut
- 100 gm Melon seeds
- 100 gm Khoya
- 150 gm Clarified butter
Directions
- In a mixing bowl add flour, sugar, eggs, butter and clarified butter. Knead to a smooth dough cover and leave the dough to rise for 20 minutes.
- With a rolling pin roll the dough into a Circular shape and spread a layer of butter. Turn the dough from one side and freeze for 30 minutes. Remove from freezer and again re freeze. Repeat this process three times.
- With a rolling pin shape the dough into a square sheet and sprinkle khoya, chopped almonds, chopped walnuts, honey and melon seeds.
- Fold from all four corners and bake at 200C.Keep on brushing the baklava with a beaten egg .Bake until it turns golden brown in color.
- Remove from oven and spoon honey over the bakhlawa. Allow to cool and cut in various shapes.
