Saffron Nan Khatai
Ingredients
  • 4 ounce Ghee
  • 3 ½ ounce Flour
  • 3 ½ ounce Semolina
  • 3 ½ ounce Caster sugar
  • ¼ tsp Saffron
  • 1 tbsp Hot milk
  • ½ tsp Green cardamom powder
  • 1 tsp Yogurt
  • ¼ tsp Soda bicarb
Directions
  1. Sieve 3 ½ ounce flour and ¼ tsp soda bicarb.Then mix in 3 ½ ounce semolina.
  2. In a separate bowl beat 4 ounces ghee and 3 ½ ounces sugar till light and creamy and add ½ tsp cardamom powder.
  3. In a cup mix ¼ tsp saffron in 1 tbsp hot milk and add to the ghee and sugar mixture.
  4. Then add 1 tsp yogurt. Mix well, now fold in flour and semolina, knead well, form into small rounds.
  5. Arrange on a greased baking tray, and bake in a moderate oven 150 degree c or gas no. 3 for 20 minutes.
