Cappuccino Mousse Trifle Recipe

Ingredients

  • 2-1/2 cups cold milk
  • 1/3 cup instant coffee granules
  • 2 packages (3.4 ounces each) instant vanilla pudding mix
  • 1 carton (16 ounces) frozen whipped topping, thawed, divided
  • 2 loaves (10-3/4 ounces each) frozen pound cake, thawed and cubed
  • 1 ounce semisweet chocolate, grated
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Directions

  • In a large bowl, stir milk and coffee granules until dissolved; remove 1 cup and set aside. Add pudding mixes to the remaining milk mixture; beat on low speed for 2 minutes. Let stand for 2 minutes or until soft-set. Fold in half of the whipped topping.
  • Place a third of the cake cubes in a 4-qt. serving or trifle bowl. Layer with a third of the reserved milk mixture and pudding mixture and a fourth of the grated chocolate. Repeat layers twice. Garnish with remaining whipped topping and chocolate. Sprinkle with cinnamon. Cover and refrigerate until serving. Yield: 16-20 servings.

Raspberry Cream Trifle Recipe

 Ingredients

  • 1 can (14 ounces) sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 cup cold water
  • 1 teaspoon almond extract
  • 1 package (3.4 ounces) instant vanilla pudding mix
  • 2 cups heavy whipping cream, whipped
  • 1 prepared angel food cake (8 to 10 ounces), cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 2 tablespoons seedless raspberry jam
  • 2 cups fresh raspberries
  • Chocolate curls and fresh mint

Directions

  • In a large bowl, beat the milk, water and extract until blended. Add pudding mix; whisk for 2 minutes. Let stand for 2 minutes or until soft-set. Cover and chill until mixture is partially set. Fold in the whipped cream.
  • Place half of the cake cubes in a 2-qt. glass serving bowl. Top with half of the cream mixture. Carefully spread with jam. Sprinkle with 1 cup raspberries. Layer with remaining cake cubes, cream mixture and raspberries. Garnish with chocolate curls and mint. Yield: 14-16 servings.

Pumpkin Trifle Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 package (14-1/2 ounces) gingerbread cake mix
  • 1-1/4 cups water
  • 1 egg
  • 4 cups cold fat-free milk
  • 4 packages (1 ounce each) sugar-free instant butterscotch pudding mix
  • 1 can (15 ounces) solid-pack pumpkin
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon each ground ginger, nutmeg and allspice
  • 1 carton (12 ounces) frozen reduced-fat whipped topping, thawed

Directions

  • In a large bowl, combine the cake mix, water and egg, beat on low speed for 30 seconds. Beat on medium for 2 minutes. Pour into an ungreased 8-in. square baking pan.
  • Bake at 350° for 35-40 minutes or until a toothpick inserted near the center comes out clean. Cool for 10 minutes before removing from pan to a wire rack. When completely cooled, crumble the cake. Set aside 1/4 cup crumbs for garnish.
  • In a large bowl, whisk milk and pudding mixes for 2 minutes or until slightly thickened. Let stand for 2 minutes or until soft-set. Stir in pumpkin and spices until well blended.
  • In a trifle bowl or 3-1/2-qt. glass serving bowl, layer a fourth of the cake crumbs, half of the pumpkin mixture, a fourth of the cake crumbs and half of the whipped topping. Repeat layers. Garnish with reserved cake crumbs. Serve immediately or refrigerate until serving. Yield: 18 servings.

Colossal Caramel Apple Trifle Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 package (18-1/4 ounces) yellow cake mix
  • 6 cups cold milk
  • 3 packages (3.4 ounces each) instant vanilla pudding mix
  • 1 teaspoon apple pie spice
  • 1 jar (12-1/4 ounces) caramel ice cream topping
  • 1-1/2 cups chopped pecans, toasted
  • 2 cans (21 ounces each) apple pie filling
  • 2 cartons (16 ounces each) frozen whipped topping, thawed

Directions

  • Prepare and bake cake according to package directions, using two greased 9-in. round baking pans. Cool for 10 minutes before removing to wire racks to cool completely.
  • In a large bowl, whisk milk, pudding mixes and apple pie spice for 2 minutes. Let stand for 2 minutes or until soft-set.
  • Cut one cake layer if necessary to fit evenly in an 8-qt. punch bowl. Poke holes in cake with a long wooden skewer; gradually pour a third of the caramel topping over cake. Sprinkle with 1/2 cup pecans and spread with half of the pudding mixture.
  • Spoon one can of pie filling over pudding; spread with one carton of whipped topping.
  • Top with remaining cake and repeat layers. Drizzle with remaining caramel topping and sprinkle with remaining pecans. Refrigerate until serving. Yield: 42 servings (3/4 cup each).
 Toffee Brownie Trifle Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 package fudge brownie mix (13-inch x 9-inch pan size)
  • 2-1/2 cups cold milk
  • 1 package (3.4 ounces) instant cheesecake or vanilla pudding mix
  • 1 package (3.3 ounces) instant white chocolate pudding mix
  • 1 carton (8 ounces) frozen whipped topping, thawed
  • 2 to 3 Heath candy bars (1.4 ounces each), chopped

Directions

  • Prepare and bake brownies according to package directions for cake-like brownies, using a greased 13-in. x 9-in. baking pan. Cool completely on a wire rack.
  • In a large bowl, beat milk and pudding mixes on low speed for 2 minutes. Let stand for 2 minutes or until soft-set. Fold in whipped topping.
  • Cut the brownies into 1-in. cubes; place half in a 3-qt. glass trifle bowl or serving dish. Cover with half of the pudding. Repeat layers. Sprinkle with chopped candy bars. Refrigerate leftovers. Yield: 16 servings.

Ingredients

  • 1-1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs (about 24 squares)
  • 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1/2 cups plus 1/3 cup peanut butter, divided
  • 1/4 cup butter, melted
  • 1 package (8 ounces) cream cheese, softened
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1 carton (16 ounces) frozen whipped topping, thawed
  • 2 cans (21 ounces each) apple pie filling
  • 3/4 cup confectioners' sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

  • Directions

  • In a large bowl, combine the graham cracker crumbs, brown sugar, 1/2 cup peanut butter and butter; spoon half into a 3-qt. bowl.
  • In a large bowl, beat the cream cheese and sugar until smooth; fold in whipped topping. Spread half over crumb mixture in the bowl. Top with one can of apple pie filling.
  • Combine the confectioners' sugar, cinnamon and remaining peanut butter until crumbly; sprinkle half over pie filling. Repeat layers. Refrigerate until serving. Yield: about 20 servings.

Strawberry Banana Trifle Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup cornstarch
  • 3 tablespoons strawberry gelatin powder
  • 1 cup cold water
  • 1 pint fresh strawberries, sliced
  • 1-3/4 cups cold milk
  • 1 package (3.4 ounces) instant vanilla pudding mix
  • 3 medium firm bananas, sliced
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 6 cups cubed angel food cake
  • 2 cups heavy whipping cream, whipped
  • Additional strawberries or banana slices, optional

Directions

  • In a saucepan, combine the sugar, cornstarch and gelatin; stir in water until smooth. Bring to a boil; cook and stir for 2 minutes or until thickened. Remove from the heat. Stir in strawberries; set side.
  • In a large bowl, combine milk and pudding mix. Beat on low speed for 2 minutes set aside. Toss bananas with lemon juice; drain and set aside.
  • Place half of the cake cubes in a trifle bowl or 3-qt. serving bowl. Layer with half of the pudding, bananas, strawberry sauce and whipped cream. Repeat layers. Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours. Garnish with additional fruit if desired. Yield: 14 servings.

Irish Creme Chocolate Trifle Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 package (18-1/4 ounces) devil's food cake mix
  • 1 cup refrigerated Irish creme nondairy creamer
  • 3-1/2 cups cold milk
  • 2 packages (3.9 ounces each) instant chocolate pudding mix
  • 3 cups whipped topping
  • 12 spearmint candies, crushed

Directions

  • Prepare and bake cake according to package directions, using a greased 13-in. x 9-in. baking pan. Cool on a wire rack for 1 hour.
  • With a meat fork or wooden skewer, poke holes in cake about 2 in. apart. Slowly pour creamer over cake; refrigerate for 1 hour.
  • In a large bowl, whisk the milk and pudding mixes for 2 minutes. Let stand for 2 minutes or until soft-set.
  • Cut cake into 1-1/2-in. cubes; place a third of the cubes in a 3-qt. glass bowl. Top with a third of the pudding, whipped topping and candies; repeat layers twice. Store in the refrigerator. Yield: 14-16 servings.
