South African Chip Roll


Ingredients
  • 2 potatoes
  • 2 buns
  • 4 green chilies
  • ½ ice berg
  • 1 tsp black pepper powder
  • 1 tbsp turmeric powder
  • 4 tbsp mayonnaise
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil for frying
Method
  1. Chop 2 potatoes lengthwise as you do for French fries. Boil with 1 tbsp turmeric powder and salt to taste until potatoes are ¾ tender. Then take out in a platter and sprinkle corn flour on it. Heat oil in a wok and deep fry. 
  2. Toast 2 buns and spread mayonnaise on both of them. Finely slice ¼ ice berg. Place ice berg and green chilies on bun. Then keep chips and cover it with the other bun. Delicious Chip Roll is ready to serve.
