South African Chip Roll
Ingredients
- 2 potatoes
- 2 buns
- 4 green chilies
- ½ ice berg
- 1 tsp black pepper powder
- 1 tbsp turmeric powder
- 4 tbsp mayonnaise
- Salt to taste
- Oil for frying
Method
- Chop 2 potatoes lengthwise as you do for French fries. Boil with 1 tbsp turmeric powder and salt to taste until potatoes are ¾ tender. Then take out in a platter and sprinkle corn flour on it. Heat oil in a wok and deep fry.
- Toast 2 buns and spread mayonnaise on both of them. Finely slice ¼ ice berg. Place ice berg and green chilies on bun. Then keep chips and cover it with the other bun. Delicious Chip Roll is ready to serve.
