Mango Jam


Ingredients
  • 400 gm ripe firm mangoes
  • 1 ¼ cup of sugar
  • 1 tbsp grated ginger
  • 1 stick of cinnamon
  • 1/8 tsp powdered cloves
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • Zest of 1 lime
Directions
  1. Peel 400 grams ripe mangoes’ skin, discard the stone and use only the chopped or crushed pulp.Add mangoes’ pulp, 1 ¼ cup of sugar, 1 tbsp grated ginger, 1 stick of cinnamon, 1/8 tsp powdered cloves, 1 tbsp lemon juice and zest of 1 lime to a cooking pot.
  2. Cook at medium heat for about 35-45 minutes till the mixture thickens and stir occasionally.You will see it bubbling and thickening.
  3. Remember jam will thicken more once it cools down.Now spread the joy and enjoy the thick, chunky & spicy jam!
